Mr Lightyear…why so serious?

One of the guys on the course at Futureworks showed me this earlier in the week, and I wanted to share it. If you’re a fan of Toy Story and the Dark Knight, you’ll love this!

Academic schmemic

I’m into my third week now on the Futureworks TV & Film diploma here in Manchester, and after only five nights of lectures on the course I’m glad that I made the decision I did back in January to quit University and find private training.

I never really talked all that much about the decision, and it was something I always wanted to blog about, but never did. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t afraid to talk about it. Continue Reading

Documentary decision

For the past few years I’ve been trying to get to a point where I can produce (mostly comprising stock footage, photos etc) my own 9/11 Truth documentary. In the last six months I’ve got to a stage where I have several pages of script written, but due to a sheer lack of time to write an entire feature length script without constantly procrastinating and getting side-tracked, I had something of a revelation whilst cooking dinner the other evening.

The premise of the documentary is strip away the speculation around what happened before, during and after 9/11 and focus on the facts. These events have become something of a specialist subject for me over the years, and as a true skeptic I always look for facts to support any conspiracy theory. The bottom line is that there is a great deal that the general public do not know,  and that is for the most part down to a complete failure of epic proportions by the U.S/Global media to actually behave like proper investigative journalists.

If you spent just half an hour of your time on a site like 911research.wtc7.net you’d find yourself asking a lot of questions, and I want to make an effort to produce something that will ultimately make more people ask themselves those very same questions. After all, I believed the official version of events myself until I looked into things more closely.

So, what am I going to do?

The decision is to spend five minutes on each key point, and produce episodic content rather than a feature length documentary film. The clips will be produced in chronological order i.e. events before 9/11 will be covered first and I’m aiming to knock out somewhere between twelve and eighteen episodes.

I’ll be blogging more about this over the coming weeks as I want to have the first finished before May.

New Doctor Who series 5 trailer

This is doing the rounds today after the private preview of the opening episode ‘The Eleventh Hour’ aired mid-week. So far I have to say I’m liking the look of everything, and although I cannot watch the start of the series as it airs on April 3rd, I’ll be straight onto the iPlayer the following day getting my Who fix!

Enjoy the trailer! 720p HD is available for this clip.

Predators Trailer (PG? Bah!)

I have to admit that when I heard on the Twitterverse that Robert Rodriquez’s ‘Predators’ had been given a PG rating, my heart sank. I’m not a fan of the AvP franchise, but I had high hopes for this prequel and now I’m not so sure. Regardless of my doubts, I’ll still be heading to the cinema to see this.

Enjoy the trailer, and the dulcet tones of Laurence Fishburne!
