November 13th

On the train home to Manchester and glad to have some time to chill. Been something of a mentally tiring week, with incredibly slow progress writing my two essays for next Thursday the main contributor. Got a birthday meal for m’colleague HRH Andi James Hough tomorrow, first up some quality time with my gal tonight.

It seems that I’m at the business end of the first semester now, and I’ve learnt this week that keeping things simple is always the best way; just wish I’d re-realised this on Tuesday instead of today! Once these two essays are in, I’m half way to completing/passing all my modules. Great.

Things in the house continue to interest and entertain, and we got quite trashed on Wednesday night down the New Inn which inevitab led to a midnight Co-op run and drinking games. Another half two finish was marred only by the foul taste of bacon Frazzles in the morning!

The house passed the inspection with no issues, and to be fair we keep it in good condition anyway. Have some more filmmaking equipment now, and have several things lined up; although I’m kicking myself now that I’ve realised my camera (Canon XM2) can do a lot more than I thought! Doh!

Not only is it a huge week for academic reasons, the first of David Tennant’s final three outings as The Doctor airs on Sunday night. The Waters of Mars is on BBC One at 7pm, and is a scary lead-in to the final two-parter that will be broadcast on Xmas and New Years day. It’ll be sad to see David go, but he has had his time. Allon-sy!

And finally, it seems that us human folk have found a fair bit of water on the Moon, check the news for more info. I’ll give odds of 7/2 that Evian get there before NASA…

Good night, and good luck.
