First of all, for those of you who haven’t seen the fake trailers that are shown before Robert Rodriguez’s half of the Tarantino-Rodriguez-B-movie-extravaganza ‘Grindhouse’, here is the trailer for ‘Machete’.
Wicked, huh?
Well, not only is ‘Machete’ coming to the big screen courtesy of Rodriguez himself, but it seems like the project has attracted attention from several hot Hollywood properties. The folks over at MovieFill.com are reporting that:
Machete has started shooting this week, and that “Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson and Jeff Fahey play supporting roles”.
Obviously De Niro is the biggest name there, but the fact that we not only have Danny ‘Machete’ Trejo on board in the lead role BUT also have Don Johnson reprising his combat-priest role makes me a very happy boy…not to mention the possibility of yet another Seagal knife sequence! Oh, and Michelle Rodriguez is HOT!
