Heading out soon, and just wanted to post a quick update in regards to the short film I’m producing for the Virgin Media Shorts 2009 competition. This afternoon, I Tweeted/Facebooked asking for suggestions as to what kind of educational advice the public service parody will be dishing out, as I was looking for inspiration as I’ll have to get everything scripted over the weekend. The response was brilliant, but also has put me in an position where I have to make a creative decision.
The original plan was to serve up say, five ‘survival tips’ for the British public to take into account should they be faced with a Zombie/Undead, but after someone on Facebook mentioned etiquette, part of me feels that this would be a slightly better, and certainly more comical route to take. The potential hilarity of a wartime citizen taking a Zombie/Undead into their home, and treating them like any other citizen is just too much to overlook, and therefore serving up five ‘etiqutte tips’ is something I’ll have to look into.
Just goes to show that you should always listen to what other people have to contribute. Perhaps this idea could involve into ‘A Citizens Guide to Zombie Etiquette’, or something of that ilk.
Good night, and good luck.

Hi David,
I work on behalf of Virgin Media Shorts. We’re glad to see you’ve blogged about your plans to enter! We’re currently running a Q & A with last year’s winner, Phil and Olly who’d winning film ‘Black Hole’ (http://virginmediashorts.co.uk/past-winners/the-black-hole/) went to on to Cannes. If you’d like to ask them any questions about what it’s been like winning £30k and the help of The UK Film Council or anything else about what they’ve learned or done in the last year then please feel free to email me: matt@ryanmacmillan.com
Good luck!
