New Year Blogging

Only just settling back into normality, thought I’d freshen (and brighten) up the blog with a new template at the same time as upgrading to WordPress 2.7; very slick indeed!

I’ve not had much chance to get much college work done, as I’ve been working or away for most of the last month. Have three assignments to work on at the moment. Have the paperwork to complete for the live internet broadcast, must continue developing my ideas and begin desgining my flash animation and have to write a treatment for and storyboard my music video. I’ll be commenting on each of these in seperate blog posts as I pick up where I left off throughout the course of the week.

Acquired several films and TV series on Doovde (read: DVD) over the Xmas and New Year Period. The Dark Knight, Outpost, Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 and Doctor Who Season One are all in my collection now; Outpost is the only one of the four I’ve yet to see and I’m looking forward to it immensely. Furthermore, Battlestar is back in two weeks as I write this and the wait for the final ten episodes is almost over! Oh, and Matt Smith as Doctor Who? I’m really not sure, but I’ll comment on that in a seperate post.

Finally, I’ve been toying with a few ideas over the festive break and am hoping to start work on two projects during the spring, that have nothing to do with study. One is a short six part series, and the other is potentially sixty minute long feature. They’re both quite exciting, and present me with the challenge of putting together all the bits and peices like a real producer.

2009 is a massive, massive year for me. With a conditional offer from the University of Leeds under my belt for their Cinema & Photography course, I’m off to Cardiff in February for my interview at Glamorgan for their Film & Video course; I’m nervously excited.

Good night, and good luck.
